I enjoy working with all ages — children, adolescents, and adults.

A primary area of my expertise is the treatment of anxiety and OCD. Anxiety has a way of making people, young and old, feel powerless, making their world small and less joyful. Often people with anxiety and OCD feel caught in a cycle: they feel so anxious that they avoid the situations that make them uncomfortable or engage in rituals to reduce the distress. While these strategies offer short-term relief, people often find that their anxiety continues to grow and gets worse over time. Through exposure-based treatments, I help people take steps toward their fears, instead of away. This ultimately allows them to conquer their fears and realize that they are brave, resilient, and powerful.

I treat body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRB) such as trichotillomania and skin-picking. I help people understand why, where and how they engage in their BFRB so that individualized interventions can be selected to help the person achieve what they want to achieve without engaging in the BFRB.

I use empirically supported and individualized treatments (CBT-E and Family-Based Treatment) for eating disorders to empower people to find peace with food, body, exercise, health and self. I design treatment to fit specific needs and difficulties and believe full recovery from an eating disorder is possible.

Parenting can be hard even under the best of circumstances, but it can be particularly difficult when your child is having challenges (i.e. anxiety, depression, noncompliance, or emotion dysregulation). I provide behavioral parent training to empower parents with data on what we know works and help them approach parenting from a more united, values-driven, and confident place.
